When a document travels between countries that are not both members of the Apostille Convention — which includes every document issued in Sierra Leone — it must be legalized through a chain of signatures. Typically the issuing authority or a notary certifies the document, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Freetown authenticates that signature, and finally the embassy or consulate of the destination country legalizes it.
Each office has its own forms, fees, appointment rules and processing times. We prepare the file, book appointments, submit and collect on your behalf, and add certified translations whenever the embassy requires them.
